As we move closer in to the fall paddling season it is certainly getting darker earlier. So a good time to practice navigation from your sea kayak in the dark. A critical skill to say the least to have in your quiver of seamanship skills as a sea kayaker. If your in training for the British Sea Kayak Leader award or the Advanced Sea Kayak Leader this is a essential experience to have gone through. Or if your interest lie with expedition paddling you will certainly encounter this low visibility problem at some point.
We will be using the edges of Fishers Island Sound. Not the tidal races this time. A great place to practice with a lot of challenging navigational aids to work with.
